School uniforms

Photo c/o RMO
My youngest son, Jacob, is in Year 5.  With our move to the big city, Auckland, he has to transfer to another school, which entails a change in school uniform.  I've always wanted my children to have their formative school years, elementary and high school, in a Catholic school. There is something magical about the experience and knowledge gained from a Catholic institution of learning.  By the way, I'm not downplaying the role and significance of state or public school education.  I am a proud product of the public school system.

Hence, earlier today, we were at the Elizabeth Michael shop on 357 New North Road, Kingsland, Auckland.  This seems to be the go-to place for it had on sale school uniforms for nearly all the Catholic schools in Auckland.  Now, this is not a scientific survey, just an observation: 3 out of the 6 customers on site were Filipino families, with the 4th one having a Kiwi dad.  There must be something good about Catholic schools that keeps us Filipinos to enroll our children.
