Farmers Department Store

Every time I visit Farmers, and I would say it's not very often, I'm reminded of the glory days of Rustan's Department Store---the smell, the look, the store layout, they are very similar. They also cater to the AB crowd, the more affluent ones, with enough disposable income. Even the sales staff have a similar look, mannerism, attitude, although the ones with Farmers are friendlier (based on my experiences with Rustan's up to 2008).  I don't know now if things have changed.  Going back to the smell, it's so high-end.  This is very evident the moment you step inside the store, in any branch in NZ, they all have the same smell of class and money.
